Tailoring Tips you should know:-
Never mess about with, single breasted with two or three buttons,
side vents straight jacket pockets with flaps, two inside pockets,
straight leg trousers.
Never be intimidated by the tailor. You are the client; a tailor is
there to advise you!
As for fabric, choose a good quality, sober colour, don’t get
carried away you don’t want your friends to think your moonlighting
as a pimp!!
Choose the lining carefully, go for a contrasting colour or
something classic.
Always try to have as few pleats as possible on your trousers,
they’re terribly old fashioned.
The more colourful your suite the less often you will wear it.
Don’t ask for belt loops, no bespoke suit has them.
A made to measure suit is a basic pre-existing template pattern that
has been roughly altered to fit you and isn’t bespoke! |
